Can I tell you one of my most random pet-peeves? In language classes, when they just tell you the approximated translations of various phrases and not what the words literaly mean. For instance, in just about every language I've studied, the literal translation of the approximated phrase "How old are you?" is actually "How many years do you have?;" or, things like "I'm hungry" and "I'm thirsty" are actually "I have hunger" or "I have thirst." I hate introductory language courses and books that underestimate your intelligence. I'd rather know the literal translation of what I'm saying, you know?
That's all.
